My husband had one hip replaced at Nord in early April, 2024, with the second to come in July. From first contact with this world-class clinic, through to the actual surgery and rehabilitation, our experience was nothing but the best, most knowledgeable, timely and professional care we could hope for. Nord runs like a ‘well-oiled’ machine with patient-centric processes, customer-friendly communication and personalized care. We have absolutely no regrets about coming to Kanaus for timely, high-quality and affordable orthopedic care. Highly recommend!

I had left Ankle Replacement surgery at Nordorthopaedics Clinic on April 10, 2024 by Dr. V. Kimtys. I am from Canada. I started looking for a private path to this surgery because the wait time for this surgery in Alberta, Canada is 4+ years. Initially, I was looking to get this surgery done privately in Canada, but the clinic I was dealing with in Ontario was extremely slow and not very responsive. A friend suggested Nordorthopaedics in in Lithuania, so I started investigating that path. Wow! What an experience! First and foremost, the cost was less than half the price of getting it done in Canada. The response from Nordorthopaedics was immediate and so helpful. From the first contact, I felt like I really mattered to these guys. My initial contact was middle of January and by middle of April, my surgery was done. They made everything easy. All I had to do was ask and questions, services, and support was provided. The surgery was so smooth and post-operative care was exceptional. I've had almost no pain since surgery and am now safely recovering back home in Canada. This is a highly professional, exceptionally skilled team in Lithuania. I would recommend anyone considering availing themselves of Nord's services not to delay. It'll be the best decision you ever make.

Thank you Nord orthopedics. From my initial enquiry with Emilija, then onto reaching completion of rehab, 2 weeks in total with Nord, amazing staff and most of all understanding the needs of the patient from start to finish. Everyone involved, Extremely well organized and professional throughout.

Due to crazy wait times in Alberta I chose to seek private hip replacement. Nordorthopaedics was exceptional in communication before surgery and during stay and now post surgery. Physio was exceptional and the patient interaction with support and incouragement was amazing.

The decision to have elective surgery abroad is a a daunting one but I chose to visit Nord based on the experience of a friend who had surgery here in 2023. From the initial contact, everything was extremely professional, helpful and reassuring. My contact was Karolina and she could not have done more to help me through what is a difficult time - especially when the NHS are just not able to provide what is needed in a timely fashion. Arriving in Lithuania, everything went extremely well and the staff at Nord clinic are both very professional and very caring. My surgeon, Mr Tarasevecius, was very reassuring and informative in the meetings I had with him. The night staff at the clinic stand out in my memory as, in my opinion, they went above and beyond the expectations I had when I was in a lot of pain. I then spent 9 days at UPA spa for physio and rehab as it suited my needs better than staying alone elsewhere. The transfers to and from UPA were like clockwork and the care I received there was, again in my opinion, everything I needed and more. I am writing this 13 day post surgery and whilst I am still in some discomfort and pain, Nord have put me well onto the road to recovery. I appreciate that a experience like this is costly but not so when compared to private care in the UK and I would not hesitate in saying to anybody that if you can take this route , please do not hesitate in doing so. I am quite happy to share my experience with anybody considering taking the plunge to do this - please just ask. I'm summary, a great experience of a very well organised and professional service up that is worthy of the highest praise.

After realizing I would have a wait of well over a year for a hip replacement, my husband and I started to look at private clinics to have my hip done. We settled on Nord and were there 2 weeks later. Their facilities are spotlessly clean, they are very professional and the price was more reasonable than other clinics. The drivers who transported us to and from the airport and back and forth from our Airbnb to physio were very kind and helpful plus knowledgeable about Kaunas. We had a fantastic experience with this clinic and absolutely no regrets.

After finding out it would be 1 to 1.5 years in Canada for surgery to have my knee cartilage repaired after an accident, I decided to have this done at the Nord clinic. The experience was amazing - exactly how medicine should be done. The staff walked me through the logistics every step of the way and the surgeon answered all my questions even before I committed to going. I was able to schedule my surgery within 2-4 weeks of having the surgeon look at my MRI (~1 month total from initial contact to flying to the clinic). The driver picked us up from Vilinis and took us to the clinic apartments in Kaunas, which were super convenient. I met with the surgeon in person for a consult, who was great. The surgery itself was super smooth and the surgeon came to visit me twice after in recovery and once later that week at PT. That would never happen in Canada. The nurses were awesome and the care couldn't have been better. The recovery afterwards was closely monitored (at home I would have been just sent on my way) and working with the in house PT was great. He was so patient and kind. Every step of the way I was able to get my questions answered promptly and felt like all the staff was super invested in my recovery. I would highly recommend the Nord clinic for any orthopaedic surgery rather than waiting in your home country for months or years.

I had THR & From first email enquiry to flight home, the Nord team are fantastic the comunication, transport, operation, own apartment & in house rehabilitation I don't think you can get better. I had an issue with the flight out & arrived a day late, they re-arranged the pre-op etc with no delay to the operation date. this was done with no fuss.

I’ve just had my 2nd knee replacement at Nord, 12 months apart and the service they provide is faultless. Initial enquiries are straightforward and my contact was Justina, who replied to emails quickly with a complete response. She advised me at every step, with what I needed prior to surgery , such as blood work, echocardiogram etc and also what kind of things I should pack to take for my stay. Once in Lithuania, Nord arrange everything from airport transfers to hotel and transport to and from physio. My physiotherapist was primarily Matisse and he was a true gentleman with a sense of humour. Matisse pushed us as a small group, praised us when we were completing tasks successfully and made sure we were doing exactly what was expected of us to ensure our recovery was as good as can be. Would highly recommend Nord Orthopaedics for any orthopaedic surgery needs.

I had ACL reconstruction and removal of meniscus at nord clinic and stayed on nord apartments. The apartments are very nice like 5 star hotels and the food available is also lovely. The surgery went very well I did 7 days rehab with the clinic as well all the staff was amazing very easy to talk to I was very nervous before going but everything was good the country it’s self is lovely. I am now doing my rehab at home and it’s going really well hopefully be back doing sports boxing in 6 to 9 months. It was less than half the price of doing it private over here I was very happy with my service and would recommend them to any one Thank you all the staff at nord Picture with me and the surgeon

Dallas Robinson MY CONTINUING JOURNEY Following my first hip replacement in October 2023, I was informed by my surgeon that my other hip was in need of replacement. My right hip started to give me problems around March 2024, I contacted Karolina to start the process for surgery on my right hip. Once again the process was thorough, supportive and concise, Karolina guided me through the process once again. Again I was impressed with the information and care given to me, something you will not get in the UK. My surgery was booked for 13th June 2024. My wife and I booked flights to Kaunas Lithuania. The Logistics team were waiting to take me to Nord clinic for my pre surgery tests, at the clinic the staff were professional and caring. I was then taken to my hotel by the Logistic team, (it is worth pointing out the Logistic team are second to nun). If you have opted for physio as I did you are picked up from your hotel and taken to your physio session and then taken back to your hotel. My surgery was per formed by Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius who had performed my first surgery. Following a 2 day stay at the clinic where the nursing staff were excellent, I was discharged and I went down stairs for my first session with Prof Laimonas Siupsinskas. I attended physio for the next 7 days. My experience for both my hip surgeries at Nord Clinic has been amazing from start to end, this service you would not get in the UK. I would encourage anyone with an orthopaedic condition to consider Nord Orthopaedics for your surgery. It's not just the price which is a lot cheaper than the UK, its the full service from start to end and your recovery is quicker. Give Nord Orthopaedics a chance you will not be disappointed. Great Service. (Hip Replacement) My journey started in July 2023. I had been suffering with hip pain for the last 18 months and the waiting list was around 3 years. I decided to look at private treatment and I looked at Nordorthopeadic clinic, I made my first enquiry in July right from the start the information provided by Karolina was excellent. I decided to go ahead and investigate further. Throughout the whole process Karolina was there to help, support and keep me updated with all the information I required, very very professional. My date for the operation was set for 19th October 2023. I arrived at the clinic the day before and had my bloods, ECG and a Xray to check everything was correct before the operation. On the day of the operation my surgeon Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius came to see me before the operation, he reassured me and explain the operation process. I was in the clinic for 2 days where I was looked after by the qualified staff throughout my stay. I had also booked 7 days physio after the operation, ( this is something I would highly recommend). On my discharge from the clinic I received my first physio session with Prof Laimonas Siupsinskas, the sessions lasted for 1 hour and Laimonas was fantastic. The service provided by the clinic was second to none, even down to the pick up and drop off service provided by the clinic. My quality of life has changed for the better and I thank, Karolina, Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius, Prof Laimonas Siupsinskas Nursing staff and the driving team. If you are having hip, knee or other medical problems get yourself out to Nordorthopaedics like I did, you won't regret it. I would thoroughly recommend Nordorthopeadic clinic for their dedication, attention to detail, professionalism and their down to earth care of all patients.

We are back in the UK after my wife Mary had knee replacement surgery on 13 November at Nordorthopaedics Clinic in Lithuania. We received excellent customer service and care for all our queries, and the various options for surgery, post-op rehabiltation physio and nursing care, as well as our accommodation in Kaunas for 12 days and nights. Everyone was very helpful and efficient! We are grateful to the Administrator, Medical, Physio and Nursing teams, and all those who look after Nord Clinic's Logistics and self-catering Accomodation so well. Mary is doing very well and we are pleased with the successful outcome. We cannot recommend Nordorthopaedics Clinic highly enough.

I researched until I found Nord. Very well organized. This is what made my mind up to choose Nord. Going to a different Country is hard enough. So a detailed account of pickup at the airport, arranging all the details associated with getting the surgery done was what sold me. That's not even talking about cost which is significantly lower then Canadian prices. With all my expenses with bringing a helper getting physio for 7 days accommodation, surgery and type of prosthetic it still is about half the Canadian cost. It's professional and quality in all ways. Try to book a business or first class return from lithuania to be able to get room for your leg...be it a hip or knee surgery. Go with confidence!

After the wait on the NHS became.unbearable and was negatively impacting my everyday life, work and mental health, in addition to not being able to afford private healthcare in the UK, I began researching the option to have ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair at Nordorthopaedics Clinic. The communication from the start was not only informative but reassuring and helped give me the confidence to make the nerve wracking decision to travel abroad, independently for surgery. The clinic advised me about the S2 funding application which I knew nothing about previously and thanks to their help this was successful. Neringa was a fantastic support in helping to organise the surgery and showed care in the useful advice she gave. The organisation throughout, from the apartment team, both guest services and nurses, the logistics team, the surgical team, physiotherapists and orthopaedic clinic team was outstanding. The seamless process lessened the stress hugely and the care and support was of a high standard. Thank you to everyone x

Spent 3 months researching Nordorthopadics mainly via military services websites GB/USA. April 2022 went for THR left hip. August 2024 THR right hip. 2022 left hip replacement , 2 days in the clinic then 7 days UPA. No issues with the Nord clinic, excellent treatment and I had a single room . Food provided was very good. 7 days at UPA , large room with walk in shower and nurse in attendance 24/7. Food was very good and plentiful. 2024 Right hip replacement, 2 days Nord clinic, 4 days in Nord apartments. 2 days Nord Clinic not much difference from my first stay other than I had to share a room. Recommendation to Nord, please provide a curtain to block out the flashing TV screen for the benifit of the patient. 4 Days Nord apartments. Preferred the apartments to UPA. Self catering short walk to the shops and a pizzeria. Lots of patients in the block and an area to sit, meet and greet. I found travelling to Nord clinic for rehab was enjoyable and the treatment far superior and focused on my needs and requirements. Apartments costs 85 euros per night, hotel cost 65 euros. All depends on your budget. If i ever had to attend again, I would personnally select the apartments. If your partner wishes to come along the apartment is the best choice.Hotels are good but ensure you get one with a walk in shower, and rooms can be small when on crutches. Hope this helps in selecting your accommodation. Philip.

I travelled to Nord for a hip arthroscopy as the waiting time in Scotland is 2.5 years. I am 32 years old, fit and active and had been in pain for a year already and couldn't wait another 2.5 years to be seen. The service at Nord was exceptional, the customers service staff/logistics/nursing staff were all great and I can't fault anything. Everything ran like clockwork which meant the whole process was easy and stress free. I would highly recommend Nord to anyone who is in pain and is faced with a long waiting list. You won't regret your decision!

Nordorthopaedics have been an outstanding and professional company to deal with from start to finish. As I have never had treatment anywhere other than in the UK before the decision to go abroad for me was a nerve wrecking decision to make. Unfortunately due to the long waiting lists of the NHS and the costs of going private in the UK I decided I needed to do something about it myself. So I did extensive research settled on this company and started to look into them further and I also joined their Facebook support group and got in touch with some people very local to me who had used this company themselves. Once my decision was made I then got in contact with Nordorthopaedics via email and from there I was assigned a customer services representative called Agne Celkaite who was amazing and answered every single one of my queries (& believe me I had a few) each were all replied to that day or the following day. I felt supported and reassured throughout the process from start to finish even when in Lithuania and I had a concern the day before I was due to return home post surgery they got me sorted that day. The surgeon was approachable and again answered any questions I had. Nothing has been too much trouble. All the staff from the customer service representative, the medical admin team, the Consultant & Anaesthetist, the Nursing team, the Logistics team and physios kept you informed the whole time. I am now free of the horrendous pain I was in, I am on the road to being fully mobile and independent once again and I will soon have my active life style back once again. So thank you to all of the Nordorthopaedics team I have come into contact with and the Facebook support group who also provided me with that extra support throughout this whole process. I would without hesitation use them again if I needed too

I recently had ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair at Nordorthopaedics. It was a little out of my comfort zone going to Lithuania for this surgery - but the alternative of waiting 3 years on the NHS was not an option. I was not disappointed - from the moment I contacted them, I was assisted at every stage. I am happy to report the surgery went well and all the staff (surgeon, nurses and physio) were all amazing, and I would not hesitate to recommend to others

I have recently returned from Kaunas after having a total knee replacement. Every part of the Nord Organisation was fantastic, they really have thought of everything. From my initial contact to my actual operation was only a matter of a few weeks and I was guided through the whole process by my contact at Nord, Ausra who arranged transport, accommodation, an operation date and physio. I travelled alone but it was reassuring to learn that around 50% of patients travel on their own. My surgeon Professor Tarasevicius introduced himself before my operation and explained what would happen and visited me twice after surgery to check in on me. After 2 nights in the clinic, I was taken back to my hotel and helped to unpack. I had 7 days physio with an excellent team lead by Professor Laimonas before returning to the UK. I cannot fault any step of my journey, and I consider myself lucky to be in a position to take this step as II would not hesitate to return if I needed any further surgery

I recently had an outstanding experience at Nordorthopaedics Clinic that I cannot recommend highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the logistics team ensured a seamless transition, picking me up from the airport and transporting me back and forth to my apartment and the clinic whenever necessary. The reception staff were consistently helpful and friendly, always greeting me with a warm smile. The pre-examination process was impressively thorough, far exceeding any physical I've received at home in the last four years. I was greeted by the doctor, who introduced themselves with a handshake, immediately making me feel at ease. Dr. Vytautas Kimtys took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure I was to undergo, detailing how it would benefit me following my previous surgeries. The surgery itself was performed successfully the very next day. My stay at the clinic was comfortable, complemented by exceptional nursing care. The food was also outstanding—not at all typical hospital fare. The following morning, the doctor was there to check up on me, providing post-operative information and directions. I spent a week in Lithuanthia after my surgery, during which I had constant contact and care, ensuring that I felt supported and attended to at all times. I found Nordorthopaedics Clinic online, and they had very high reviews, which gave me confidence. Their representative was in constant contact with me, answering all my questions and concerns while setting up all my testing and surgery dates. Overall, the experience was excellent, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout my entire journey.

I have just arrived back in the UK after total Hip replacement operation on 12th December 2024 at Nord Clinic in Kaunas. Like many in the UK, I had a long wait for a Hip replacement on the NHS. After seeing a BBC News article, I decided to investigate Nord clinic. The administrator (Agne) made the whole process incredibly easy. She was reassuring and very responsive to messages - which helped me get over the initial concerns of taking a big step into the unknown. so - I was booked - and travelling a week later..... Nord organise all the logistics, so collected from airport and taken to hotel, WhatsApp messages notifying you when you are being collected and taken to clinic. The operation itself was surprisingly straightforward - post op a few uncomfortable hours - managed very well with meds/painkillers and very attentive nurses/staff and then up and walking with crutches. I booked 7 days of additional Physio with Laimonus at the clinic - and saw huge improvements very quickly - down to one crutch within a couple of days and able to walk (poorly) without crutches from day 5!!! I would highly recommend the Physio and to religiously follow the exercises given for when you are back in the hotel. - Also need to give a mention to the drivers who ferry you to and from the clinic - very friendly and cheery guys - particularly Gerard. - So...... I'm now back home and it's 10 days since my op ..... still recuperating and trying not to do too much too soon - but feeling onTOP OF THE WORLD!!! ..... A big thank you to all at Nord - a life changing experience - if you are reading this - just do it - you're only regret will be that you'd wished you done it sooner

My experience with Nord has been nothing short of 100% perfect. From my initial registration to attend the meeting in Cardiff early November, to the excellent communication leading up to my visit and subsequent surgery and rehabilitation. Agnė has all the logistics fine tuned! especially when I requested changes in arrangements a number of times. The staff at the clinic were so pleasant and efficient and Professor Sarunas with his warm and kind manner, everyone made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. The rehabilitation with Professor Laimonas and his team was excellent, made us work hard but the results were remarkable even within a few days. Thank you so much Nord!

I went to Nordorthopaedics for a full hip replacement on November 21, 2024. Like so many people in Alberta, I was in immediate need of surgery (totally bone-on-bone for over a year) and could not wait another 3 years to have my surgery done in Calgary. After suggestions from my sports medicine doctor to go to Lithuania, I made the decision to go to Nordorthopaedics for my surgery and it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have every made. From the initial communication with Nord to the accommodation in the Nord apartments to the surgery itself and the physio afterwards, the process has been nothing less than exemplary. My initial contact with Nord began in mid-August. My service representative was Agne Celkaite and she was the perfect ambassador for the company. Her professionalism and timely responses to my multitude of questions and concerns was very reassuring to me and gave me the confidence I needed to proceed with my journey. So, kudos to you Agne! My wife and I were met in Vilnius by a member of the logistics team as promised and taken directly to the Nord Clinic in Kaunas where I had my x-ray and bloodwork done and filled out some forms. Everything proceeded quickly and efficiently. I was then brought to the Nord apartments which we had reserved from November 18th to December 7th. The apartments are spacious and well set up for patients just out of surgery. There is a small kitchen with a freezer for my ice packs which is very important. There is a large TV with Netflix which I needed during my recuperation and laundry facilities which allowed us to travel more lightly. There are also nurses that will check up on you every day. They were all very friendly and accommodating and it was reassuring to know that there was help nearby if you needed it. I could have had my surgery done a month earlier, but waited so I could coordinate it with the availability of an apartment. On the day of surgery, I met with the surgeon and anesthetist and their demeanor gave me confidence that the surgery would be a great success, and it was. Physio started within 2 days of surgery and I booked 10 sessions which helped greatly with my recovery process. Within 6 days of surgery, I was doing 7 km on the stationary bike and was walking 2-3 km around town without crutches. I was quite fit going into surgery, so I believe this aided in a speedy recovery. We are now back in Calgary for a week and I am going to our little gym daily for my self physio. I hope to be playing pickleball again in 2 months. I would like to thank everyone involved in Nordorthopaedics for the opportunity to have my surgery done there and for helping me realize my journey which has been a success on every level. P.S. There is a Northorthopaedics Facebook group, which is helpful for all kinds of information.

Wow just wow - this place is brilliant and I seriously could not find even one fault with anything from start to finish. I’m absolutely thrilled that I came to Nord for my hip replacement surgery! After only two weeks after surgery I’m confidently slowly walking around my home without any crutches and am walking relaxed without any joint stiffness (and I have a wonderful gait - free and easy). I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is in need of treatment. Yes it is daunting when considering surgery abroad but Nord have the most excellent process which takes the pressure off totally. This process starts from the moment you make an enquiry - it is so well structured and planned out and makes the whole experience one which is stress free and easy. I was contacted by Agne who was my Nord Representative and she was marvellous. The emails which Agne sent were structured and timely according to the stage of my enquiry. I was able to email and call her to discuss anything at any time. There is no language barrier in Nord - everyone’s English is superb. Thank you so much for everything Agne x I am a 58 year old woman and I travelled to Lithuania by myself. I made the decision as I knew 3 other local people who had been there - all of who could not fault the clinic and all of who were thrilled with the results. I flew from Liverpool and chose the Radisson to stay in. My stay was a total of 14 days. This worked well for me - the hotel was really lovely and I was able to have breakfast every morning and use the restaurant if needed at lunchtime or evening. The clinic itself is beautiful new and pristine throughout. It even smells lovely whilst relaxing spa music quietly plays in the background. After my operation I had 11 sessions of physio therapy and two lymph drainage massages before arriving back home. The physiotherapist Professor Laimonas is brilliant in his field and also deals with all aftercare - changing dressings after a week and before traveling home. I was able to run any concerns by him and he gave me excellent advice. In the Uk the approximate price for hip replacement surgery is about £17,000 - and this doesn’t include any aftercare or physio therapy. At Nord I paid approximately just over £8,000 - this included everything - a top quality implant, 12 night stay in the Radisson, physio therapy and aftercare, transport, food and massages. My surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses and physiotherapist were all so excellent professional and genuinely kind. A special thank you to my most excellent surgeon / Professor Sarunas Tarasevicious who has undertaken over 5,000 hip replacement surgeries. Professor Sarunas is absolutely excellent in his field - I have my mobility back and it feels wonderful! A special thank you also to my anaesthetist who was so careful to make me feel at ease - what a skilled kind and lovely person. I barely felt the epidural. Also a special thanks to my excellent Physiotherapist Professor Liamonas for his knowledge and skill - the sessions were brilliant and so much fun. Patients all meet each other at different stages of the journey and by the end of the journey it feels like one big happy family!! We had lots of laughs at physio. I completed the Nord end of treatment questionnaire - my every answer was an excellent 10/10. I just could not think of anything which could be improved on or anything which was not worthy of an excellent score. I also didn’t hear one negative comment from any of the patients at Nord during my two week stay. I would highly recommend anyone who is in need of treatment to take that first step in making an enquiry on the Nord website and let Nord start the process for you - look no further - Nord is absolutely excellent!

Frustrated with the Waiting List in Wales (Rhondda Cynon Taf LHB) , I searched for clinic abroad that would be able to perform my Total Knee Replacement (TKR) within a timely time period for a more reasonable price that the Spite and Nuffield Clinic in Cardiff. I found the Nordorthopeadic Clinic from Kaunas, Lithuania advertising on Social Media. A very sceptical Mrs B. tried to uncover some bad news story about the clinic, no no avail. I applied to join the Nord Clinic Patient Facebook group, a social media group where patients who have attended Nord Clinic share their experiences of travelling t to, and staying in Kaunas for surgery. I attended an event in Cardiff during November 2024, where the lead surgeon, Professor Tarasevicius explains the process, and held a open Q&A session. I sent my XRays to Nord Clinic (available from my local trust via a Subject Access Request) , booked surgery for 5th December 2024, and flights from Stanstead (return to Bristol) for 3rd December. I stayed at a cheap hotel for two nights prior to my surgery (you attend the clinic as an outpatient for your pre-op tests), and a four star city centre hotel post-op. Nord Clinic arrange everything from the minute you arrive at the airport to departure. Transport to and from the hotel / clinic pre-op, transfer t re-hab from your hotel / apartment post op. The whole process runs like a well-oiled machine. Lithuania is a member of the EU and a member of NATO (ease of mind), excellent English is spoken by all staff, and restaurant / cafe staff, basically everyone under the age of 40 has been taught English in school. The total cost for my whole trip, including surgery was Circa £7,500, today (19th December) my local surgery removed my dressing and were all amazed I am walking without the use of crutches, the stitches are self-disolving so no need for them to be removed. I would like to thank the staff at Nord Clinic for all of their efforts. Ian Bowen

Great experience for a knee replacement, I could not fault any part of the surgery, logistics or physio. I will admit that when it comes to any surgery I am a coward. I avoided this operation until the existing knee would no longer support me and here I am 2 weeks and 3 days post operation, at home continuing my physio at home and walking without the crutches and feeling great. 10 out of 10 all round for the team at Nordorthopaedics .

Unfortunately we have given 2 stars not due to Nordorthopaedics clinic and the surgery which was excellent, but it's due to the rehabilitation at UPA. We specifically chose for our mum to go to UPA spa clinic due to the fact my mum is 79 years old and it seemed per the information provided by the website and speaking to Nordorthopaedics that she would be looked after as all her meals were included, medical care was included along with rehabilitation. As my mum was going to be on her own without a support person as I wasn't able to go as I have cancer and going through treatment and my sister is a working single mum. However disappointingly UPA's service wasn't as expected as there was only 1 nurse and 1 doctor for 120 patients, no emergency button in the room to call for help and the food was horrible when she managed to get some. Not to go into to much personal details but when you have had knee surgery you are totally incapacitated and in a lot of pain and you only have two days in hospital then they discharge you to where you are going for rehabilitation in our case UPA, and due to the drugs they give you you can get bladder weakness issues, plus you are in a strange country with a different language to deal with and we were told the language barrier wouldn't be a problem but that also wasn't the case either as most of the staff at UPA didn't speak English. My mum was to scared to go to the toilet on her own in case she fell and the same for taking a shower plus she was not able to hardly walk for the first 4/5 days so had to keep asking the nurse for help who was so pushed as there was only ever one nurse on duty that my mum had to sit in a soiled nappy for hours, was in the same clothes for about a week as that was the first time the nurse had time to help her shower. My mum struggled to get pain medication out of them as well. They also wanted her to go to the restaurant for food but as I have just said she was unable to walk for days so had to insist they brought food to her room. Water you had to pay for which mum discovered when she came to pay the bill and no other water was provided in the room which also doesn't seem right when someone can't go and get it themselves. We have raised a complaint with the Nordorthopaedics and UPA but I don't get the impression they are taking it very seriously or even care. I have advised them both that I feel there website should be transparent regarding what care is available at UPA and they should also recommend that everyone should take a support person with them as if my mum had had a support person they would have been able to do certain things and help her with going to the toilet, changing her clothes, getting food etc.. So this is just a heads up to anyone thinking of doing rehabilitation in UPA Spa clinic you 100% need a support person with you. As my mum doesn't want anyone else to experience what she experienced for 10days.

After a diagnosis from my doctor about my hips i was shocked to learn i needed 2 replacements. This is where the fun started knowing the NHS was not in a good place especially in lanarkshire. I was put on a waiting list and hobbled about trying to work and survive. After a year work became impossible as did simple tasks like walking my dog. Time to act. I contacted my GP and was told your not on the actual operation waiting list as i hadnt seen a consultant yet and realistically would be looking at another 3 years and more. Amazing how your told as a kid by your parents your health is your wealth and at 58yrs old im now miserable doing ever day tasks. Time to act. Im not going into my financial situation as ive worked hard, alot more than most, 7 days a week 12hr days and more so i started to look privately. Every time i went online i kept coming back to the Nord clinic in lithuania and had to find out more. The reviews were always too good to be true so was suspicious it was another internet scam. I had a meeting with my accountant and mentioned to him about the Nord and he instantly said do it im not long back with my wife from Kaunas and she had her knee done there it was 5 star treatment. Im now back home after having my first and worst hip replaced and as i sit writing this review ill let you in to a few secrets. I emailed Nord and had a reply next day from Karolina my port of contact from then on and was sent all the details regarding the operation and what was needed from me to proceed. I needed an ecg, full set of bloods done and copy of xrays or xray reports. Nhs were not willing to help with these till i managed to get my sympathetic doctor to agree to send me for tests. Nord can do and will do these tests on arrival but i wanted to make sure my operation would go ahead. I sent them the deatails and was booked in for 4 weeks later to have my op. The Nord summarised below Arrival day picked up by Nord dropped at hotel Day 2 picked up, visit clinic, tests done, see doctor dropped back at hotel Day 3 picked up operation done Day 4 in clinic recovery Day 5 physiotherapy dropped off hotel Day6 till 12 picked up dropped off every morning for physio I can not stress how well i have been looked after from day 1 by the Nord and amazing team of doctors nurses and physiotherapists. Can you get 5 star treatment anywhere well thats my little secret the NORD CLINIC is it. Im so gratefull to them for everything and looking forward to my next hip being done there and at half the cost of private in the uk its like a 2 for 1 deal remembering you have 7 days of physio included in the price. If like me you had reached the end of the road travell in pain no further just email them its probably the best decision i have ever made.

This was my third trip for surgery at Nord and my second TKR. As with the other visits everything worked like clockwork from the initial contacts with the customer services rep who are very helpful, to the logistics people doing the pickups, the nurses and especially the surgeons. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nord and would return again very happily if any other surgeries are required.

I went to Nordorthopaedics Clinic in Kaunas, Lithuania for an arthroscopic meniscal knee repair. I was doing research online for alternatives and their name kept coming up. I chose to use them because of the extremely long public waiting lists in Ireland and high costs to go privately. I made first contact early December 2024. Their main administrator Neringa, got back to me immediately and explained how the system worked. I cannot express how wonderful this organisation is to deal with. I was operated beginning of Feb 2025 about a 8 weeks after my first enquiry! I am female and travelled to Kaunas alone and not once did I experience anxiety during this trip. All collections and drop offs from airport, to clinic, to hotel were taken care of by their logistics team. A prompt whatsapp message confirmed these pick up times everyday. The clinic was spotless and modern. The admin staff assisted you with documents etc. Pre-ops were thorough, with bloods, ecg and xrays taken the day before scheduled surgery. My surgeon Ritaurus Rakauskas was so lovely and meticulously explained my procedure, with a visit the next day to go through the op step by step and advice for returning to work and activity when home. Brilliant Physio therapist Laimonas guided me through physio exercise in their physio room. Meds, crutches, icepacks were all supplied by the clinic. Anything Nord said they would do was done and more. I never had to worry once about mundane form filling, collecting meds etc. because it was all done for me. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. I would highly recommend Nord for any ortho procedure. Their business model is to be envied. Kaunas is also a very pretty town, with plenty of gorgeous bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants and from a personal point of view, I felt very safe there. I have never come across such an efficient organisation in my life!!

I have been reading reviews online about Nord for years, as my shoulder became more and more unstable after each dislocation, I finally committed to contacting them this year. Agne has been extremely helpful in aiding my every concern. From the procedure itself to queries such as transfers and accommodation. The entire team at nordopedics have been wonderful. Thank you Dr.Arnoldas for your work on my shoulder and taking the time to relieve any question I had pre and post op. Michael.

From being initially picked-up at the local airport, to being returned there 2 weeks later after a TKR and ten days rehab/ physio my treatment with Nordorthopaedics was first class. All the staff are very caring, and clearly supportive of an excellent organisation. Such serious surgery is clearly not to be taken lightly. From initial queries by email, to attendance at the clinic, prompt and personal attention has been the norm. It is now just over two weeks since the surgery, and I have no hesitation in recommending Nordorthopeadics to anyone contemplating joint surgery, they are superb.

From the very first inquiry I made and throughout the whole process, everyone at the clinic was so proffesional. Neringa was my point of contact and she made it so easy for me to provide all the necessary information to proceed with my hip replacement. It has been 4 weeks since my surgery and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'm walking miles everyday and am so grateful for the care I received in Kaunas. Thank you so much to everyone at Nord! James Mcgurk, Arizona USA

The Nord team members are professional, responsive and helpful. Excellent communication. All clinic and logistics team members took great care to provide a professional and comfortable experience. It was worth the long trip from Canada. 9 weeks post op from a THR and progressing well. My recovery is a little slower than I expected, but I’m getting there with the aid of my Nord and home physio programs. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nord to anyone!!!

I had my gallbladder removed recently at the Nord clinic. All I can say that everything was first class. From the pick up at the airport, all the assisted trips to and from hotel to clinic. The actual service at the clinic was outstanding, the overnight stay at the clinic after surgery was needed, the same surgery in the UK, there is no over night stay at the hospital, you have to leave after the surgery. The cost of the surgery was a big saving from the prices in the UK. I am recovering well 2 weeks after surgery and I can only recommend the Nord clinic to anyone that wants a great service by a great team. Date of experience: March 13, 2025

From the moment I made my initial enquiry, the experience has been absolutely outstanding with the amazing team at Nord! Just three weeks after my total hip replacement, I'm thrilled to say I'm striding through 5,000 steps a day! What an incredible journey!
